Another faith-filled couple of weeks for young people from around our diocese as Father Tom Finnegan reports for cliftondiocese.com.
It was another fun filled couple of weeks in Nympsfield this year. 48 children and young people from all over the Clifton Diocese gathered for the ‘Living Your Faith’ weeks. Looked after by the Marist sisters, children and adults alike enjoyed the peace and seclusion of Nympsfield, on the edge of the Cotswolds.
This year the theme was ‘The Holy Trinity’. We rejoiced that God made us, celebrated that He sent His Son to show us how to live, and used the gifts of the Holy Spirit in our time together.
Despite the poor weather, the children and young adults spent a memorable time living their faith. Siobhan Allinson, the leader of the weeks said, “It is always a pleasure to share with the children and young people of our diocese the joy of our Faith.
“Through worship, creativity, fun and games, what we believe is brought alive in a special way.
“Thank you to all my wonderful team of helpers, their dedication and enthusiasm over the two weeks never stopped. This really helped in allowing all who attended have a wonderful time.”
Planning is already underway for the 2009 camps. If you’d like to find out more call Siobhan Allinson on 07841 915433.
