Please arrive by 6pm on Friday. Retreat ends with lunch on Sunday.

The ritual of baptism announces that we now share in Christ’s threefold ministry as Prophet, Priest, and King. What does this actually mean in ordinary daily life? How can we incorporate these categories into our sense of who we are and how we live? This retreat explores the way in which a deeper theology and spirituality of baptism give rich meaning to every aspect of our life as Christians.

Dr Gemma Simmonds CJ is a Senior Lecturer in Pastoral Theology at Heythrop College, University of London.  A religious sister of the Congregation of Jesus, she is an international speaker and retreat leader, working in the fields of Christian spirituality and training for ministry. A regular religious broadcaster on BBC radio, she has worked as chaplain at the Universities of Cambridge and London. Following her return from study and missionary work among women and street children in Brazil in 1992, she was a chaplaincy volunteer in Holloway Prison until its closure in 2016.
