Staff at Alexander House came together during Lent for our annual soup lunch to raise money for charity. Ronnie Mitchinson, a former employee of the diocese, provided soup for the first and last Wednesday’s with staff taking on the remaining weeks, making the soup (from scratch!) and providing bread.
This year we managed to raise £236. This total has been split with half going to CAFOD, and half to supporting Lisa Paniccia-Brown, a member of the Department of Schools & Colleges, who is running the Brighton Marathon on 15 April 2018 for Mind – a charity that supports Mental Health. As part of our Year of Mission, in which we are ‘called to share the great hope with others’, mental health, especially that of young people, is a focus in the Clifton Diocese.
