Tuesday 26th June saw our annual Education Mass take place at Clifton Cathedral. This is a celebration of the work of Catholic education within the diocese. Staff, pupils and governors from our schools attended were presented with a candle for the Bishop’s Mission, A Future Full of Hope. The choir from All Hallows School sang beautifully and two awards were made; the first was to Sheila Talwar from St Roses special school in Stroud for 40 years of commitment and service to Catholic education at this school. Shelia received the Bishop’s medal from Bishop Declan. The second was to Bishop Declan himself; he was thanked on everyone’s behalf by students from St Bede’s College for all he does in this year of Mission for Catholic education.
