On Tuesday 27th June Clifton Cathedral hosted this year’s Educations Mass.
This year has seen a number of different pressures on our schools from different. sources.. Despite these pressures all those who work in schools have worked exceptional hard to ensure that pupils flourish. As a diocese we would like to both celebrate the work of our schools in supporting Catholic Education and remind everyone of the work they do.
We began the year focusing on the Year of Mercy and throughout the academic year pupils with the help of their staff have been focusing on how they make a difference to others. This led into the renewed consultation on People of Hope, which many pupils and schools took part in. As a result of this consultation the schools department has renewed its implementation guide to People of Hope and will be presenting the document to all schools during the mass.. During the mass we will be asking all governors in particular to renew their commitment to the cause of Catholic Education. St Mary’s school Bath will be leading our music on the night and many other schools will be taking part. Everyone is welcome. Please come and support our schools through your prayers and presence.
