The 13 September was ‘Education Sunday’ - the annual celebration of Catholic Education, throughout the country. To mark the occasion, Bishop Bosco held a special ‘Education Mass’ at SS Peter & Paul Cathedral. Bishop Bosco used the day to renew his appeal for more volunteers to step forward and become governors/directors at our schools. Because the need for new governors/directors is so urgent to protect the future of our schools, Bishop Bosco sent a special letter of appeal Bishop-Letter-2026.pdf to all parishes in the Diocese. His letter reminds us of the proud history of Catholic schools in the diocese, God’s call for the teaching of the young and the vital role of education in the mission of the Church.

If you would wish to respond to Bishop Bosco’s appeal and so would like more information about the role of a governor/director, please contact Bill McEntee, Governance Officer via bill.mcentee@cliftondiocese.com or 07710094976 – he would be happy to help you.
