As part of the Catechists on-line formation programme currently running, Fr. Tom Dubois offers us four reflections on the Easter Triduum.

They were filmed before he went on his sabbatical to France and before the pandemic prevented us from being in our churches last year.

We hope you will enjoy his prayerful appreciation of these most holy of days and we pray for him as he continues his time of prayer and retreat.

For Reflection:

  • Have there been any moments that have been particularly powerful for you in your celebration of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter, either in your personal prayer or celebrating in the church? Have these changed you at all?
  • Jesus’ dialogue with Peter completely changes Peter’s perspective as he begins to understand his call to serve others. He begins to see his life and relationships in the light that Jesus is calling him to. Have your conversations with Jesus in prayer changed you in your perspective or relationships with others?
  • ‘Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us’. What is your experience of that forgiveness in your heart and relationships?
  • How do you continue to celebrate the Easter season beyond Easter day? Is there anything that has been particularly fruitful in this, or anything you’d like to try?
