On the 26th April, we welcomed the Lampedusa Cross into St Bede’s Catholic College in Bristol. The Lampedusa Cross is made from wood that washed ashore after a boat carrying refugees did not make it to land. The cross reminds us of all those who leave their countries for a variety of reasons, but especially those who have died on their journey.

We begun the morning with a short, reflective service that was led by the Year 7 Chaplaincy Team and then pupils were invited to visit the cross in the Chapel at break and lunchtime.
