“Mary’s Knitting”, a musical account of the nativity story, was performed in St Francis School, Naisea this week by the children in Reception Class and Years 1 and 2.
Mary’s baby is due to be born but she hasn’t got anything to keep the baby warm so she decides to knit a blanket. With the help of some kind shepherds, some hungry travellers and some bright stars, her knitting needles manage to “clickity-click” all the way to Bethlehem and the blanket is finished just in time for the arrival of baby Jesus.
Parents, grandparents and other family members, as well as visitors from St Francis’ Parish Nailsea and the Immaculate Conception Parish Clevedon, joined the rest of the school to watch the show as the children danced, sang and acted beautifully, and an enjoyable time was had by all.
