The Goan community in Swindon have been running a young people’s choir for several years which has grown to over 85 members. Despite the recent lockdown, musical director Vance  Machado has high hopes for when the choir can meet again and continue singing in church and at special events within the area.

Vance and three of the young people who love singing in the choir spoke with Phil Gibbons this week about why the choir is so good, why it started and what they all get from it. You can hear the podcast below and watch some videos of the choir singing.

You can see and hear the choir at the Diocesan day on June 26 at St Brendan’s college.
